To discuss strategy with respect to collective bargaining or litigation if an open meeting may have a detrimental effect on the bargaining or litigating position of the public body and the chair so declares – Constantine/Edgehille v. Town of Hanson and Update of Litigation regarding 62 Ocean Avenue.

The Town Clerk’s Office would like to remind registered voters that the will be a Special Town Election on Saturday, December 13th at the Maquan School from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The election is for the vacated Selectman’s unexpired term until May 21, 2016 and a ballot question on the repair or replacement of the Indian Head Elementary School Roof.
Absentee ballots for the election are now available at the Town Clerk’s office. Any registered voter who is unable to vote in person on Election Day due to absence from town, physical disability or religious belief may obtain an absentee ballot. Voters may absentee vote in person at the Town Clerk’s office or by mail. Applications for absentee ballots will be accepted at the Town Clerk’s office until noon on Friday, December 12th. The 2014 Hanson Community Christmas applications are now available at the Town Hall, Library, Senior Center and Hanson Food Pantry.~ The application is also available online at www.hansonlibrary.org or www.hanson-ma.gov.~ After Thanksgiving a Giving
Tree will be standing in the lobby of the Library/Senior Center and will have ornaments listing gift requests for residents in need.~ The unwrapped gifts and ornaments can be returned to the Hanson Public Library, Stitch 'N Time at Indian Head Plaza or the office of Gomes Wealth Management located next to Myette’s Country Store on Broadway in Hanover.~ All donations must be delivered by Monday, December 15, 2014.~ For more information please contact Jenna Gomes at (781) 718-0891 or Hansoncommunitychristmas@gmail.com
There are vacancies on the Finance Committee and Conservation Commission. If you are interested in serving on either committee, please complete an application for appointment and return it to the Selectmen’s office. Hanson Holiday Committee will be holding it’s annual Holiday Festival on Saturday, December 13th from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Town Hall Green. Santa will arrive to light the tree, there will be a small bon fire, food from local restaurants. A fireworks display will cap off the evening. This is a free event for the whole family.
